Visiting The Cinema FAQs

The booking confirmation can act as your ticket. Show this email on your smartphone to the usher to scan the barcode. Alternatively, please print out the confirmation, bring it with you to the cinema, and present it to the usher to scan the barcode for admittance, or show this email on your smartphone. You can pick up your ticket(s) from one of the ticket pick up machines located in the cinema foyer or at the box office. If you booked using a Showcase Gift Card, you will need to bring the card in to the cinema and collect your tickets at the box office. If you booked using a Showcase eGift Card, either bring this print out to the cinema and present it to the usher to scan OR bring a print out of the eGift Card for scanning at the box office. If you booked by credit card you can pick up your ticket(s) from the ATMs located in the cinema foyer or at the box office. You must bring the credit card used for this transaction with you to pick up your ticket(s) - simply press collect tickets and insert the card into the ATM when prompted.

Please note: If you have purchased one or more Student tickets, each ticket holder will need valid individual, photographic student identification, which will be checked before entering the film.
Please note that an administration fee of £1 per person will be applied to all online ticket purchases.

We reserve the right to respectfully inspect all items, including but not limited to bags, rucksacks and holdalls, that our guests may decide to bring with them.

We do not allow guests to bring hot food, alcoholic beverages and drinks in glass containers into our buildings. We reserve the right to refuse admission.

Showcase Cinemas does not permit fancy dress masks, face paint, weapons, or any item that may make our guests feel uncomfortable or detract from others enjoying their movie going experience.
Our guests are welcome to come dressed in costume with movie related accessories however we reserve the right to respectfully inspect all items that our guests may decide to bring with them.

We welcome babies in our cinemas, however age restrictions do apply. Babies will only be admitted into U, PG and 12A certificates. We ask that you respect other guest’s enjoyment of the film, if your baby becomes distressed, please leave the auditorium. We do offer a selection of Baby Picture films every Thursday which are held in a special baby friendly environment.

Cinema Accessibility Information

 

Yes, all of our cinemas accept the CEA card. The card can be used online and is also accepted on ticket purchases made in person at the box office, upon presentation of a valid CEA card. Please note that when booking online with a CEA card, it will also need to be presented at the cinema when attending your film.

Any guest who is aged 5 and over in  receipt of the following benefits can apply for a CEA card:

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Attendance Allowance (AA)
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
